A clear next step
Let’s get
you practicing.
Help for Practice! Guitar and Practice! Piano on iPhone and iPad.
Start a routine
Complete the short self-check, choose a goal, and select 10, 15, or 30 minutes. Start practice to follow a warm-up, two skill exercises, and a little free play. Use the Library for instructions and chord or keyboard diagrams.
Pause, reflect, and continue
Pause the timer or close the session to take a break. The app restores an unfinished session paused. Finish an exercise to record how it felt and up to 20 clean loops, or skip it. Returning to another app or locking the screen pauses practice and metronome playback.
How progress works
The starting level comes from your self-check. Three completed sessions at the same step, each with at least 30 seconds of playing and three clean loops marked easy, unlock the next step. Hard or “about right” feedback starts that run again. Skips and brief timers do not unlock a step. The app adapts from your feedback; it does not measure or certify your performance.
Metronome sound
Check your device volume and audio output, then tap Start. Adjust beats per bar, subdivisions, count-in, tempo ramp, or silent bars before starting. A route change or audio interruption stops the metronome; tap Start when you are ready to continue. Playback is intended for active, on-screen practice.
Apple Intelligence is unavailable
The built-in planner works without Apple Intelligence. On supported devices, check Apple Intelligence, language, and model availability in system Settings. You can switch the optional planner off in the app’s preferences. If planning takes too long, choose “Use adaptive plan now.”
Reminders
Open Daily reminder to choose a local time. If permission was denied, enable notifications for the app in system Settings. Reminders follow the device’s local time zone.
Saved practice
Each app keeps its own local history. There is no account or cross-device sync. If a save cannot be opened, the app leaves it untouched and offers retry. Avoid deleting the app if you want to keep your history.
